Oldham couplings disengage if the disc breaks, acting as a mechanical fuse. Well-suited for handling large amounts of parallel misalignment. Acetal Oldham coupling inserts are zero-backlash and electrically isolating. Maximum is 4,500 RPM. RoHS and Reach compliant. Also called a Oldham coupling insert, disk, or disc.

• Ruland oldham couplings have a zero-backlash balanced design for reduced vibration at speeds up to 4,500 RPM. They can accommodate high amounts of parallel misalignment (up to 10% of the hub OD).
